LE MANS 24 HOUR RACE

Our annual trip to the Le Mans 24 hour race was looming and this seemed like an excellent way of getting there and a good chance to ensure we had put everything back together properly too! We're pleased to report that the car ran faultlessly there and back and was a real hoot on the Thursday before the race driving the public road parts of the circuit.

Our 'team consisted of three of us in the 968 to Portsmouth and then a fourth chap in the chase car meeting us there. This permitted some of the luggage to be moved across and a passenger - the car was exceptionally low on the journey down! We had all four of us in the car to drive the circuit, proving what a roomy and versatile, four seater the 968 can be - if you try hard enough!

Well, now returned we have sourced the correct Cup 2 alloys for the car and will finish off the last little bits and pieces before offering the car for sale. If you would like to have a look before the car goes on general sale then give us a call. The car will have the option of remaining on the BBS split rims as per the photo's if you prefer, has a full service history with invoices too, plus every MOT except one.

Mileage is c.98,000 and the car is now in really very excellent condition - probably the best condition non concours 968 out there. Note it has the comfort interior fitted hence the ability to fit four of us in it!

Lastly, if you've never been to Le Mans we highly recommend it. We've been seven times with the Porsche Club GB each time - the site gets better and better and the current setup is excellent, if a little tight on space, but then we do like to spread our elbows a little!
